Leviticus

These works on paper (mixed media and collage) were created for an exhibition entitled Demokratie und Gewalt (Democracy and Violence). These artworks are inspired by the new world order borne of a Post-9-11 era. The velumn-paper used is from an abandoned floral shop.

  • Disaster

    Collage portraying the marriage of war and disaster. The bride's head is the iconic Berlin landmark known as the Fernsehen Turm (The Television Tower) at Alexanderplatz. The back drop is taken a Beirut ruin. The severely scarred groom holds the bouquet of black flowers with a prosthetic arm. He is decorated with the Tower, the 16th (XVI) card of the tarot's major arcana.
