The artist, wearing a light tone foundation make-up as a Caucasian hipster, takes a series of self-portraits using a public photo-booth at the Paris Opera House Metro. The images are later scanned and enlarged onto Photo-paper. This work was created during the period in which the Haitian-American artist Jean-Ulrick Désert lived and worked in Paris France where there is a significant presence and cycle of the fashion industry where images of beauty are codified into the canon of glamour and monetized with the assistance extravagant fashion photography.
